BASEMENT DEVELOPMENT COST
The cost of a basement development depends on the size of the basement, design, materials selections and other factors.
If you are just starting to think about developing out that empty space of encompassing cold concrete called a basement, the first question that always comes into consideration is "how much is it going to cost me?"

The long answer it that it depends on a number of factors. The first consideration is the size of the area to be developed as well if you are including a bathroom, or just a living space. The largest consideration comes down to the selections you choose as these can vary from entry-level to luxury.

Because there is such a vast range of options and solutions available, the best way to approach a basement development is by first deciding on your budget of what you would be ok investing into your basement to generate the value you are looking for. The layout of your basement and existing structure such as plumbing and stair placement will play an important role in the layout of the basement. Most basements have bathroom plumbing rough-ins already in place. While these can be moved, it can be costly to do so. See if you can work with where the existing plumbing is and draw out your bathroom borders to start as this is the least flexible in terms of design cost.

Don't be afraid to play with multiple layouts to see what works best aesthetically and functionally. Our team can help you discover the best design layout to maximize your space for your needs.

We also work with interior designers and architects that can help you create 3D renderings of your basement for as little as $500. This isn't required by any means, but a great option to have when planning your basement if you have lots of ideas that you would like to see before construction. For fully custom basements with complexity, we recommend working with our design team to create renderings prior to any construction. This ensures you know exactly what the final product will look like.
